Our busy operations team is looking to recruit!

This is a brilliant opportunity to join a fast-paced and varied department to assist with a variety of different tasks and projects. We are looking for a resilient individual with grit and determination, an excellent eye for detail, an energy and passion to succeed, and a non-corporate approach to business.

Role responsibilities

A taster of the role:
- Data and information handling which must be recorded precisely, and communicated accurately and timely across various teams and sub-teams.
- Liaising with suppliers and contractors to coordinate scheduled maintenance and renew agreements.
- Various administrative tasks that support a variety of business needs across an entrepreneurial operation.
- Liaising with colleagues and suppliers at all levels, you will make contact across many different teams and sub-teams, including warehouse, supply chain, logistics, stock control, facilities, accounts, sales, production and marketing.

- Communication: a strong and accurate communicator who can anticipate what information needs to be shared and who will best benefit from this detail.
- Positivity: a positive individual who can handle a hectic schedule.
- Independence: you don’t require constant supervision and are able to ask for help when necessary.
- Resilience: with grit and determination you are not the type who stumbles at the first “block in the road”, and will also aim not only to work out how you can overcome the block, but will also consider how this block can be completely overcome and obliterated!
- Energy: it is said that “one reaps what one sows” and you are prepared to work the hours necessary to be the very best that you can be rather than being hemmed in by the corporate “9 to 5” mentality.
- Vision: you can see the end goal and have the patience and stamina to work towards this by playing the long game –success in business is a marathon and not a sprint!
- Multi-tasking: you will have many different things to work on at the same time, and you will have the ability to “spin those plates” without any of them dropping.
- Inquisitive nature: you want to learn, you need to learn, and you are humble enough to know that we all still have lots to learn … and to achieve this you will probe, ask questions, and research … whether that be via the internet or from our experienced team (who want to share all of their knowledge and experience with you).
- Clever: you have achieved top grades in your studies and have an intelligent and cultured mindset.
- Organised: whether you love written lists, outlook tasks, or can simply rely on your memory, you are highly organised, and this manifests itself in your tidy workspace, clarity of thought, and ability to hit deadlines.
- Tech savvy: You have a strong working understanding of Microsoft word and excel, and if we start talking about pivot tables and functions you’re not fazed (as even if you didn’t know what they are, on reading that we want them you’ve already googled and are “on it” (*see “Inquisitive” above)).
- Tenacity: you never, never, ever give up.

Skills & experience

Ideally you have strong excel skills.
More important is a thirst to learn which can only be quenched by acquiring new skills and knowledge.
Degree: Any - it is more important to demonstrate the right work ethic than to have a specific qualification.
